Submission<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entry into 2024 WPC Team South Africa is by submission of your best images (no time frame restriction). All professional South African Photographers are eligible to submit their images for the curation process. WPC defines professional as someone who receives remuneration for their images through assignments, freelance, exhibitions or works as an artist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curation Process<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the close of submissions the WPC Team South Africa will start the curation process. Curators have been selected for their work as photographers in fashion, advertising, media and photo-journalism. They will curate them based on the WPC criteria for each of the 10 categories, how closely they represent the best of each category keeping in mind a South African gaze and an exceptional standard both creatively and technically. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top 40 images selected will each receive a \u201cFinalist\u201d WPC Team South Africa digital certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A second round of curation will then occur with a new group of experts, whittling down the 40 \u201cfinalists\u201d to the required 30 for the final submission as WPC Team South Africa. Three images, that best represent each of the categories will then be selected for each, thus making it a total of 30 images to represent 2024 WPC Team SA in South Africa’s first admission into the World Photographic Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Photographers may have more than one image in the final 30 but only one photograph per photographer may be selected per category. The final 30 images selected by the curation team will each receive a \u201c2024 WPC Team South Africa\u201d digital certificate. The photographers selected to represent South Africa will be contacted by the Team Captain and kept abreast of the WPC judging, timeline and results. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All finalists and medalists of 2024 WPC competition will be invited to attend the WPC Awards Presentation at an international event. Digital certificates as well as slides for finalists and medalists would be made available for use on photographers’ social media platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The curators’ decisions at all stages of the curation process will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
